No college requires two years worth of general education courses. If you know what you want to major in, you can and should start taking those courses as soon as you get to college. If you're aiming for an ociates degree, you'll take business cles along with gen eds. In addition to cles for your major and gen eds, you can take a few cles that you're interested in (electives) in almost any department.
